Puerto Chale is a small fishing port, and Their Bay shelters mamas and babies from the rough Pacific Ocean and predators, and provides shallow and warm waters giving them a better chance to survival.
Each year in October the Gray Whales start their 7.000 miles long migration from their summer feeding grounds near the arctic to their winter mating and calving grounds off the coast of Baja California Sur Mexico.
Because of it is location and ecosystem, Puerto Chale is home to many other species, including dolphins, turtles, and migratory birds.
